This song reminds me of my high school crush. Gusto ko talaga sya dati pero friends lang talaga kami.  Di ko rin alam feelings nya sakin. Ewan ko pero one time sa Math class namin kay Sir Ciar, binasa pa ng teacher namin ang sulat nya sakin in front of our classmates. Yihee! *Kilig* “Sabay tayo kakain, sabay tayo papasok sa school, sabay din tayo maliligo ha?!” He was supposed to be my first dance in our prom when we were in 3^rd year pero nahiya ako makipagsayaw sa kanya. Haaayy… Those were the days. After graduation, he already went to the US.

When I was in 4th year HS, there was this guy who was very aloof with me. I only wanted him to be my friend just like his relationship with my other female friends. Gusto ko lang kung gaano sila kaclose ng mga kaibigan ko eh ganon din kami kaso aloof talaga sya. Akala kasi nya I want more than friendship pero mali sya.

In 1994, we had our first telephone. Since I was still excited to use it, I talked to my male classmate every night. Alam namin na gusto namin ang isa’t isa pero alam din namin  na darating ang time na maghihiwalay din kami. After a few months, I was singing this song with full of tears… “Letting go is just another way to say I always love you so…”

When I was in 2^nd year college, I had a crush with this guy who was still in high school(3^rd year I think). Para s’yang anghel galing sa langit… ang cute nya talaga…. Gusto ko nga lagi may overnight activity ang org para pag uuwi ako ng madaling araw at bababa ako ng jeep eh sya ang unang makikita ko. Bakit? Naghihintay kasi sya ng jeep papasok sa school nya.

Guy number 4 pa rin… It came to a point na ayaw ko na. I was already tired of listening… Pag tatawag sya ng mga 10pm or 11pm para itanong kung okay lang napupunta sya sa house namin.. minsan nagdedecline na lang ako. Nagawa ng excuses. Wala rin namang mangyayari. Magkakasundo rin sila ng gf nya later on. Nalulungkot lang ako sa kwento nya.

It was my first day of work in Bureau of Agricultural Statistics in Quezon City. One of the statisticians there was looking at me. Paano ba naman I have this henna tattoo on my right hand. Alam nyo naman in any government offices, most of the workers are “manang”. Nacurious sya. Nagtanong tanong… he tried different ways to get my number. Di nya alam na meron na rin akong number nya. Nagtetext sya sakin every night… tumatawag… nagdedate kami sa SM City North Edsa… Nanood ng sine… Kumain sa Mcdo at foodcourt… nagpapicture sa Kodak as if we’re “IT”… naging mag-MU. PERO… may girlfriend pala sya. Taga 10^th floor, ako nasa 9^th floor, sya nasa 4^th floor. Yung gf nya… from Laguna rin.. sa Sta. Cruz, ako sa San Pablo.. Ang gf nya… graduate ng UPLB din… Agri… ako, BS Math. Sa food court ng SM City North, nagbigay ako ng letter.. sabi ko “AYOKO NA”. He almost cried.

Actually, when I was singing this song before, I was changing sad to sat. Do you know why? That’s the name of the guy in song #7. Sabi nya pagkabasa sa letter kung gusto ko daw ba papiliin sya between me and his gf. Sabi ko hindi nya kelangan gawin yun. Ako na lang ang lalayo. Gusto ko na rin umuwi ng Laguna. Ayaw ko na rin tumira sa Quezon City. Nasasaktan lang ako. One time, tumawag sya sa bahay… nasa San Pablo daw sya… pero hindi ako nakipagkita… “AYOKO NA”

In 1997, I started chatting in the internet… mIrc #uplb dalnet… there was a bot in our chatroom. You only have to type !seen (nick of the chatter) in order to see the status of a certain chatter - the time he/she logged in or out in the chatroom, the chatrooms he or she joined, and most especially his/her quit message. Minsan ginamit ko ang lyrics ng song na ito as my quit message. Nagkaron ako ng boyfriend na chatter… I fell in love so fast… pero anong nangyari? /me sings “it seems to never last” /quit

Another chatter from the same channel sang this song in Karaoke King. Perhaps, it was our 4^th date(of courting stage). Sabi pa nya para sakin daw ang kantang ‘yun at talagang nakaharap pa sya sakin ng kinakanta nya yun sa loob ng maliit at masikip na booth ng Karaoke king. I really closed my eyes and I tried to understand the message of the song. Cloud 9 ang feeling everytime I am with him. After almost a month, naging kami.

When I went to the UK, I was always singing this song. Miss ko yung guy sa song # 10 up to the nth level.

I went back to the Philippines. Sa airplane palang naiisip ko na kung ano ba ang gagawin namin pag nagkita kami ulit. Would it be like the movie i’ve seen? Maghahug ng mahigpit dahil sa sobrang miss sa isa’t isa… But when I was at the waiting area at the airport.. di ko sya nakita.. wala sya.. Umalis na ang van na sumundo sakin pero wala pa rin sya. Tumigil ang van sa gas station malapit sa airport.. andun sya may dalang lychees.. favorite ko daw kasi yun.. gusto nya yun ang unang makakain ko pagbaba ko ng eroplano. Alam nya kasi mahilig akong kumain… Kahit na medyo nadisappoint ako ng konti.. napatawa na lang ako sa nangyari… nasurprise pa rin ako… at sabi ko sa sarili ko… he is still my laughter, my lover, my life… he is my sunlight
